Description
We’re seeking Board-Certified/Board Eligible Clinical and Pediatric Geneticists to join Ochsner Hospital for Children in New Orleans—part of Ochsner Health, the largest not-for-profit academic health system in the Gulf South. Expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing care of patients with a variety of genetic disorders, including congenital anomalies, congenital heart disease, chromosal disorders, autism, mitochondrial disease, and cancer, is desired. The section also offers prenatal genetic counseling as well as newborn screening.
Working closely with three genetic counselors, and an experienced group of nurses, you will serve children from across the region. In addition, we’re seeking someone who will collaborate with institutional stakeholders to lead Pediatric Precision Medicine initiatives as part of Ochsner’s commitment to being the regional leader in genomics and precision medicine.
Clinical care will include partnering with medical and surgical colleagues to serve children with complex conditions in multidisciplinary programs.
In addition, you will also teach medical students, residents, and allied health students. Clinical and translational research opportunities abound for qualified candidates. An academic appointment will be commensurate with experience.
